Focus Areas (Issues)
Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) promotes gender equality and sustainable development using Information Communication Technologies (ICTs). WOUGNET has over 67 member organizations and uses various technologies such as SMS, radio, and social media to reach its beneficiaries. WOUGNET conducts research, provides digital literacy training, advocates for gender-inclusive policies, and implements initiatives to empower women and girls. WOUGNET’s strategic objectives focus on integrating gender in ICT policies and programs, providing access to relevant information, empowering communities, and becoming a centre of Gender and ICT excellence in Africa.
